Miss placed photo issue
I ordered my first book in December 2019 and loved it. Decided to order another this month and found an issue I needed assistance with. There was a photo of my husband and I with Mickey Mouse that appeared on the first inside sheet of the book & also on the multiple photo page when you opened the cover. This photo wasn’t in my Facebook postings for the period of time the book was being made from. I wrote several emails asking for assistance. I also called. Sadly, there wasn’t any reply. I ordered the book yesterday anyway, because the rest of it appeared to be fine. I would of loved to have had some assistance in resolving this issue.

I'm very pleased with my books
I'm very pleased with my books, which I've been getting on a yearly basis since 2013. Of course, the book is a reflection of your life, and what YOU post on FB. You're the creator of the book.However, it is easy to customize what you want to have printed, and I usually wait for a 'special offer'.

I love these books
I am very happy with my books. I buy the basic version every year and now have three. I only want a collection of memories so I am not worried about high quality pictures and don’t really spend much time editing the content. I could buy a more expensive version with better cover and paper which would probably give better quality. They are not perfect and sometimes certain photos appear several times in various sizes but maybe I could have edited this if I wanted to spend the time on it. For me, having the pictures together with mine and my friends’ comments captures the feel of the moment so these books do the job. I keep them in place of albums. They take up very little space and I look at them more frequently than my albums. I did have a problem with the website not working and found the customer support really helpful. I am sure I will buy another one to cover 2018.

I have done two orders
I have done two orders, making 7 books so far. I was a little worried because I saw some people didn't receive their orders and had no luck with customer service. So for my first order I only did one book, but it came, so on my next order I did 5 books. I have luckily received both orders on time, but I am still nervous for future orders. Overall, I think it's a good service. I wasn't able to find any others that would let me print my Facebook photos and posts that I wanted to save so easily. The cons: - Not very customizable. You can pick the cover color, and it is supposed to let you select the photos for the cover, but it has been glitching for me. I was able to change the photos on cover of the first book I ordered but it won't save for any of the others, so I am reliant on whatever photos the algorithm picks and have to refresh a lot until it gives me ones I like. Since it's for the cover, it would be nice if this was more easily edited and customizable.You can de-select which photos and posts you don't want so they don't show up in the book, but that's about the extent of customizability. You can't pick sizes or order of photos or posts, or which photos you want emphasized. It also doesn't print comments or tagged photos. Only stuff you personally put on your page. So if you are tagged in a lot of fun photos uploaded by someone else, they won't show in your book.Some photos or silly posts you don't care about get used multiple times in the book. You cannot preview the whole book, so there is no way to vet or quality control for these little things. You need to be very thorough when de-selecting posts and then just hope for the best. - The site is glitchy and very basic. It's not easy to save your work unless you put it in your cart, but even then it doesn't always save right. So once you have your book how you want you kind of need to order it right away because it's a gamble if it will have saved in your cart for you to order later. This also makes it difficult to make all your books at once and then order one or two at time as your can afford them, because if you take it out of your cart it's just gone. It's not like other photo book sites where you can get back to it again later or save your progress it's cart or nothing. - The no save option also means you cant reorder books, so if you want multiple copies for whatever reason, you have to do it when you order the first time. If you want another copy after your order you basically have to recreate it as best you can from step one, since it relies on the algorithm to generate the book but doesn't actually save a copy of your book. - Double check your details before you final order. I had selected all hardcover books, but it reverted me to basic softcover books when I applied a discount code and I didn't realize the change until after my order arrived. So now I have 1 hardcover and 5 softcover books... It's not a huge deal, but the books are expensive and I really would have preferred hardcover. I can't reorder them hardcover due to the not saving issue and also the expense, so I am stuck with softcover now. Which is really disappointing to me. Also the cover of one was crinkled in the corner when it arrived, which never would have happened to a hardcover.-After you order and even after you have received your order, on the website it doesn't update the status of the order. Orders I have already received say "order is being prepared". Over all, if you go into it knowing that the site is glitchy I think it's fine to use, but if you are used to sites like Shutterfly that are much more polished and high functioning, it could be frustrating to use mysocialbook.

I have been purchasing a Facebook MySocialBook every year for 8 years. There were some technical problems for the first time this year and after a period of perseverance on both sides we finally produced my 2019 book :-)

I have really enjoyed My Social Books
I have really enjoyed My Social Books. They are a wonderful way to keep memories alive of family, friends, trips and special events all within the pages of these beautifully done books. I am currently caught up but will order another book in a few months. You can edit what you want to have in the books, but I try to do that daily on Facebook so that it is ready to go.
